FEB ESPY

Marcola School District Board Members want to recognize our students monthly for exceptional performance at school.

ESPY: Exceptional Student Performance this Year – award is given to students doing well academically and having an exceptionally positive attitude about school. They demonstrate respect and responsibility towards staff and their peers.  They show courage by not conforming to Peer pressure and refusing to accept anyone who bullies.

The MSD School Board and the District want to recognize these students by celebrating their success at the beginning of each monthly Board Meeting.  Students receive a certificate, meet each of our Board members, and their names are announced on the district website.

February 2025 ESPY Winners are;

Zoey Floeck - 3rd grade

“Zoey is a shining example of a Mustang! She comes to school each day ready to learn and eager to try new things. She models perseverance with her dedication and on task attitude. Zoey is also a wonderful friend who is quick to be helpful and show kindness to a friend or new student. I am so proud of Zoey and look forward to watching her continue to grow into a wonderful young lady.”

Bonnie McCoy - 8th grade nominated by MMS Staff

Bonnie is always one of the first students to arrive and she's always prepared to be successful.  She is always attentive and is focused on learning. Bonnie is one of the hardest working students I have ever taught.  She has an incredible work ethic and follows through on what needs to be done.

Bonnie never causes behavioral issues and is always respectful.  She can be trusted to do what needs to be done whether her teacher is watching or busy helping another student.   She will go very far in life because she shows up everyday ready to learn and accomplish her goals.

Bonnie has remained exceptional in all of these areas all year long.  I'm confident that Bonnie will continue to remain exceptional for the remainder of this year, throughout high school and beyond.- Rob Jerome
