The Marcola School District is excited to announce a new member, Mrs. Laurie Melendy, has joined our team. Mrs. Melendy will fill in as the Interim MS/HS Principal for the 2024-25 school year while Mr. Hoffman is away on an overseas deployment.
Below is a quick message from Mrs. Melendy!
“I am excited to be joining the amazing staff at Marcola School District next year. I will be entering my 30th year in public education. I am looking forward to serving next year as the interim administrator for Mohawk Middle and High School. Previously, I taught in the classroom for 21 years and will be entering my 9th year in school administration. I am passionate about supporting students, teachers and families in their educational journey. I enjoyed growing up in a small Oregon town and the sense of community that it provided. Outside of work, I love time with my family, sports and outdoor activities. I look forward to meeting everyone this fall!.”
